Our good friends are visiting from England and I was inspired to blog about English Cottage Interiors! In the little village of Saxton, where our friends are from they have a small cozy cottage much like the one pictured above. What makes an English cottage so cozy and chic at the same time? The lower ceilings and floral accents, layered on upholstered pieces start the look. Adding in old finds and
repurposing pieces is another way to achieve that cottage feel. Lots of little lamps (no recessed or overhead lighting) and sconces add ambiance. Open shelving in the kitchen and an aga stove keep the feel cozy with distressed dining pieces. I hope you enjoy bringing a little English Cottage style to your home!
