Get crafty for Easter!

Easter is such a special time of year...the weather is getting warmer, flowers are popping up, leaves are budding and spring colors are back! Here are some great crafts for the Easter season and some to carry you through until summer arrives.

Classic Easter bunny ears. All you need is construction paper, glue and scissors.

Easter bunny basket. Cut a milk carton in half, cover with felt or construction paper, add details using construction paper, googly eyes and a sharpie. Glue a cotton ball on the back for a tail:)

Wooden Easter eggs can be painted any way you like! I like them left plain and stamped with a word or name!

Spring wreath! Pick up a twig wreath from your craft store and glue gun beautiful moss around it. I'm not a huge butterfly person, so I would add little springs of white flowers to it:)

Great ideas for painting your walls and ceilings!

Need a change in your living environment? Paint can be the most economical and often dramatic change you can do! If you've been following, I recently re decorated my living room, painting the walls a light gray (ben moore's white wisp). I know my molding needs a refresh in a glossy white, which I will be doing this weekend...but I decided, instead of sticking with a plain white ceiling I would go a shade darker than my walls (gray owl) and paint the ceiling that color.
These color combos for wall and ceilings have such a dramatic effect and really make and molding pop! It adds depth to a room and often helps hide any imperfections in your ceiling (unlike regular white).
Trying A lighter shade on the ceiling and darker on the walls or complementary colors like the picture below.

Living Room Update Complete!

As promised here are photos of my living room project.
..

New paint color is Ben Moore's White Wisp, the lightest shade of gray.
I used silver plates from www.fadedplaines.com (also on etsy)
The curtains are white linen from Potterybarn.
There is my olive bucket, great for throwing shoes in, when you come in the front door.

Here is my version of a music sheet wreath. It's a great conversation piece!

I painted this little table with a antique medium. The books are cover less and bundled with twine and my love quotes picture hangs above.

Here is a better idea of the overall space. Calming whites and creams...the natural rug I got for a steal at Potterybarn!

There is my piano (I really want to paint it)! I teach music lessons in this room. The mirror above the piano used to be gold and black, so I distressed it with my favorite paints! Can you see my St. Patrick
Day garland hanging on the window?
